Iranian regime authorities fire live bullets on “Mousawi” a prisoner and takes him to an unknown location

Human rights sources confirmed that Ahwaz prisoner, Musa Mousawi, was shot with live bullets, in the wake of the recent protests in the Spidar and Shaiban prisons.

The sources said that the occupation authorities transferred “Musawi” to the “Khomeini” hospital of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard terrorists, and then took him to an unknown location.

Mr. Musa Musawi is 27 years old, married with two children from the city of Ahwaz. He was detained by the authorities of the Iranian regime for more than eight months, then the intelligence extended his captivity for another five months.

The Ahwazi Organization for the Defense of Human Rights obtained a message in which Musawi narrated before his disappearance. The message details the prisoners’ physical violations amounting to intentional killing.

Mr. Moussa said in “I was asleep and woke up to wash, and as soon as I got out of the toilet, I was surprised by the security forces as they attacked the prisoners and detainees, it was only moments until they fired live bullets at me directly.”

He added: “My comrades came and took me to the fifth section, and after a few minutes, the security forces, accompanied by the special forces from Shaiban prison, stormed the section, and severely beat us using batons, then they transferred me and some of the prisoners to Imam Khomeini Hospital.”

The Ahwazi Organization for the Defense of Human Rights condemns the continued abuse of the Iranian regime by sentenced and arrested Ahwazi prisoners and rejected requests to release prisoners under the current health conditions, as well as not receiving appropriate health care.

The organization expresses its deep concern at the Iranian regime’s intransigence and its continued refusal to release some detainees in Iranian prisons to reduce overcrowding in light of the Corona pandemic and the threat it poses to transform prisons into epidemiological hotspots that extend to all prisoners.

International organizations and human rights organizations are calling for pressure on the Iranian regime for the immediate release of detainees and detainees in notorious prisons.
