The Ahwazi Organization for the Defence of Human Rights has learned that the spokesman for the Arab Struggle Movement for the Liberation of Ahwaz (ASMLA), Yaqoub Hor Tostari, has ended his open hunger strike after a fierce battle that lasted for nearly a month
According to the organization, Tostari ended his strike after the court allowed him to speak to the press and the media, and after attempts to prevent him from striking through psychologists.
The organization said that the file of Yaqoub Hor Tostari reached the Danish Ministry of Justice, which tried, through doctors, to dissuade him from striking, but he stuck to his demands and did not end his strike until after he obtained his gains in favour of the Ahwazi cause.
For its part, the Ahwazi Organization for the Defence of Human Rights salutes the Ahwazi hero, Yaqoub Hor Tostari, who set the most amazing examples of steadfastness for the sake of his cause that he has become an integral part of.
The organization stresses that the battle is still ongoing and will not end with an enemy plotting day and night to liquidate the Ahwazi cause, but the steadfastness of its heroes stood an impenetrable dam before that ambush.
The organization renews its demand for the need to release Yaqoub Hor Tostari and his companions, Nasser Hor, Habib Jabr, the head of the movement (ASMLA), and journalist Issa Fakher, a member of the media office and presenter of a TV program on “Ahwazna” channel, with an emphasis on the need to take guarantees not to repeat this matter.
