The Iranian regime’s prisons are full of Ahwazi women, who have done nothing except participating in relief work or demanded their wasted rights; and Their fate was to fall into the grip of a ruthless jailer.

Various stories and tragedies of Ahwazi detainees who spent dark days in Iranian interrogation centers, during which they went through the most horrific forms of torture and were subjected to cruel treatment that could not be tolerated by men.

The journey of torture begins with the detention of female prisoners in cruel and inhuman conditions that do not meet the minimum health conditions or the basics of life.

They culminate during interrogation sessions to extract confessions, including sleep deprivation, severely restricting the detainee, and tightening her shackles to prevent blood from reaching the hands, and beatings with sharp objects, slaps, and kicks.

Physical torture is accompanied by psychological torture that varies between verbal abuse and deliberate humiliation, and the head covering with a black hood, in addition to threatening to arrest one of the detainees’ family members.

The horrendous journey of torture ends with solitary confinement as a form of pressure to sign a list of fabricated confessions.

The information indicates that the vast majority of detained women were thrown into Spidar prison, which includes underage prisoners that are younger than 18 years old, widows, and many mothers who left their children without care.

In light of the difficulty of human rights work inside Ahwaz, and the Iranian regime’s prosecution of field activists, the Ahwazi Organization for the Defence of Human Rights was able to collect accurate information about the Ahwazi women in the world’s worst prisons.

Among the captive detainees is the Elahe Darwishi, who was arrested at the age of eighteen and gave birth to her baby in prison. Her pregnancy did not help her release, where prison authorities multiplied her pregnancy and birth-giving pain.

Another story that is no less ugly than its predecessors, the detainee Sakina Suqour, who recorded legendary steadfastness and broke a heroic page in her steadfastness in the face of systematic torture at the headquarters of the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence, until rivers of blood started bursting out of her slender body due to the torture she went through.

Also, the detainee, Maryam Zubeidi, a mother of three boys and a girl, was arrested with her children, they are Muhammad Bughbish, aged 26, and the second, Benyamin Bughbish, 29 whom the latter was killed during torture at the hands of the Revolutionary Guard on June 22, 2019.

The Ahwazi Organization for the Defence of Human Rights obtained a preliminary list of the names of the detainees in Iranian prisons, and they are
