أيدت المحكمة العليا للنظام الإيراني حكم الإعدام بحق المعتقل الأحوازي عباس دريس، من ضمن الشواهيد على مجزرة معشور التي ارتكبت خلال انتفاضة نوفمبر عام 2019م ضد سياسات التمييز وقبلت بعنف شديد ودموي من قبل الباسيج والحرس الثوري.
وكان عباس دريس قد جرى اعتقاله وشقيقه محسن دريس في معشور خلال احتجاجات نوفمبر 2019 واتُهِما بالمحاربة، وإخلال النظام، والمشاركة في قتل أحد أفراد القوات الخاصة للشرطة المعروفة بـ نوپو” والتي شاركت في قمع الانتفاضة بمشاركة القوة البحرية للحرس الثوري، ومقرها في ميناء معشور المطل على الخليج العربي، وكذلك قوة اللواء 7 بالقوة المدرعة التي استخدمت الدبابات لمحاصرة المدينة.
وكانت محكمة الثورة قضت بالإعدام على عباس دريس بناءً على اعترافات انتزعت تحت التعذيب، فيما أدين شقيقه بتهمة “المشاركة في القتل” وحُكِمَ عليه بالسجن المؤبد.
ولم تراع المحكمة العليا للنظام الإيراني الظروف التي تعيشها أسرة عباس دريس الذي يمتلك ثلاثة أطفال وأصيبت زوجته بسكتة دماغية وتوفيت قبل عامين بعد سماعها نبأ حكم الإعدام على عباس.
وتؤكد المنظمة على أن عقوبة الإعدام هي أبشع أشكال القتل المتعمد، كما أنها عقوبة قاسية وفظة ولا تحقق الأهداف التي ينبغي أن تسعى إليها أي دولة من العقاب، كما أن هناك استحالة الرجوع عن عقوبة الإعدام إذا ما أتضح بعد تنفيذها براءة من نفذت فيه.
وعلى هذا تطالب المنظمة الأحوازية للدفاع عن حقوق الإنسان، المجتمع الدولي المبادرة بتحرك عاجل وحاسم لوقف إعدام المعتقل الأحوازي عباس دريس وغيره بالآلاف الذين يقبعون في سجون هي الأسوأ في العالم.
