The death of Palestinian girl on the Israeli checkpoint
A Palestinian Human Rights and cultural activist informed to Ahwazi Organisation for the Defence of Human Rights the Palestinian girl Ms Rahig Birawi, 19 years of age, from Asira in North Nablus was killed by the Israeli army in the Israeli checkpoint in South Nablus on 19th October 2016.
The Palestinian source during the interview with the Ahwazi Organisation for the Defence of Human Rights stated that the Israeli army were accused the girl had an intention of stabbing the soldiers at Za’tara checkpoint, south of Nablus. However, the Israeli authorities have not investigated the issue yet.
The Ahwazi Organisation for the Defence of Human Rights condemned the death of the Palestinian young girl by the Israeli soldiers, and demands the international community to force Israel to close its checkpoints inside Palestinian territory. The organisation also would like to bring the International Organisations attention that the Israeli soldiers have previously killed several Palestinians in the checkpoints without having any reasons.
The Ahwazi Organisation for the Defence of Human Rights has also demand the Israeli authorities to investigate the case, and avoid the soldiers of using a weapon against Palestinians people in the checkpoints.
Ms Rahig Shajee Mohammad Al-Birawi was born in 1997 in Asira North Nablus, West Bank, Palestine. Ms Rahig has recently married a Palestinian from 1948 (current Israel), who lives in the United States. She was applied for the US visa to join her husband in the United States.
