The siege on Fallujah
Fallujah in West Iraq in Al-Anbar province has been facing siege since 2014 by the Iraqi army and Iranian militia in accusing under the pretext of combating IS.IS (Daesh).
The Iraqi human rights organisations stated that all roads to the city were blocked by the Iraqi Army and Militia, which caused the death of a massive number of innocent people, particularly children and women.
According to the Iraqi sources around 100,000 people in Fallujah are currently facing starvation, which the mass number have died due to not accessing food and water. For example, the suicide of a woman with her three children in Fallujah. People in Fallujah need to obtain water, food and health care urgently. Otherwise, the city will face imminent genocide against humanity, according to what Iraqi human rights organisations said.
Ahwazi Organisation for the Defence of Human Rights condemned the Iraqi authorities and the Iranian revolutionary guard treatments against people in Iraq in general and Fallujah in particular. Ahwazi Organisation for the Defence of Human Rights accused Iran and the Iraqi authorities of using the blockade policy in order to kill people in Fallujah through starvation. Hence, it is a violation of international humanitarian law, so, this is war crime against humanity.
Ahwazi Organisation for the Defence of Human Rights demands the International Community and the Arab League of supporting people in Fallujah and warning the Iraqi authorities to stop the siege against the city, and allow international organisations of sending food, water and medical facilities to the city.
