The Iranian regime calls Qassem Soleimani the villages of Ghezaniyeh in Ahwaz
The Iranian regime provokes the people of the villages of Ghezaniyeh Ahwaz
In a provocative move to the Arabs of Ahwaz, the Iranian regime Changed the name of the Ghezaniyeh village to “Qassem Soleimani”, the commander of the Quds Force, the former Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
Qassem Soleimani, who was assassinated during a US raid targeting his motorcade in Iraq in early January of this year, is the architect of the Iranian project in the Middle East and the war criminal who has been associated with terrorism and many of the violations that affected Arabs in Ahwaz, Syria, Iraq, and Yemen.
The Ahwazi Organization for the Defence of Human Rights affirms that the Iranian regime provokes the people of the villages of Ghezaniyeh in Ahwaz and the name of Qassem Soleimani in the villages of Ghezaniyeh is part of the policy of demographic change pursued by the Iranian regime in Ahwaz.
The organization points out that the Iranian regime has sought over the past years to devour Ahwazi cities and villages by changing their Arabic names to Persian names and expanding construction of settlements.
The organization stresses that the novel promoted by the Iranian regime’s media that the people of the village were the ones who changed its name is pure lies and fabricated licenses, stressing the adherence of the Ahwazi people to the identity of the Arab.
Ghezaniyeh is considered one of the most important areas in Ahwaz, where it contains more than 50,000 people, and it includes 90 villages, and the Karoon River is near it.
It has about 800 oil wells, more than 20 companies in the industrial oil sectors for extraction and oil is extracted daily to feed the economy of the Iranian regime, the most prominent of which are Maroun 1, Maroun 3, Maroun 4 and Maroun 6.
Field studies show that the number of villages in Ghezaniyeh district has decreased to 75 villages as a result of the displacement of the population of 15 villages in full earlier due to the severe water shortage crisis, which is what the Iranian regime seeks.
The Iranian regime has also exhausted the people of the budget, suffering from unemployment and neglect, and the drinking water crisis represents the main suffering.
Accordingly, the Ahwazi Organization condemns the defence of human rights, the Iranian regime went ahead with its discriminatory and racist policy against the Ahwazi people in the framework of a systematic scheme aimed at its interpretation, changing its demographic character, obliterating Arab identity, and fighting everything related to Arab heritage and culture in the region.
The organization calls on the international community and the United Nations to pressure the Iranian regime to stop all forms of racial discrimination and persecution and its daily violations against the Ahwazi people.
