Iranian Regime Forces Arrest Citizens After Denouncing the Draining of Rivers
After hundreds of citizens gathered in front of the military governor’s building in Ahwaz, to protest against the draining of the marshes and rivers, the Iranian regime forces began arresting the citizens, immediately after the protests ended.
It is noteworthy to mention that the draining of marshes and rivers, has resulted in killing dozens of livestock and destroying the environment. Accordingly, human rights sources reported that the Iranian regime authorities carried out a campaign of random arrests yesterday on 10.07.2021, after the completion of protests, in the Zahriya neighborhood in Ahwaz.
Those sources revealed that among the detainees, the two brothers Mr. Fahad Rahim and Mr. Ismail Rahim Obeidway from Zaherya neighborhood, and Mr. Ali Sharifi were arrested by the regime’s forces.
They added that the Iranian regime forces are continuing their random campaign, which is aimed at sowing fear and terror among the demonstrators. Additionally, through threatening them with arrest, they attempt to prevent citizens from protesting in front of the military ruler.
