Iranian intelligence agency arrests an activist from a neighbourhood in Ahwaz
The Iranian intelligence service arrested the Ahwazi activist Muhammad Thergham Pour, a resident of the Zargan region, north of Ahwaz, without direct charges.
Mohamed bour, 40, married and has two children, was threatened by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps over his participation in protests last November.
The Ahwazi Organization for the Defence of Human Rights quoted private sources as saying that Muhammad Thergham Pour has many cultural activities in the neighbourhood and was a member of the well-known popular committees that provided much assistance to flood victims during the artificial flood’s pandemic in 2019.
The organization holds the Iranian regime fully responsible for the life of Muhammad Thergham Pour, demanding the need for immediate and urgent release without conditions.
The Ahwazi Organization for the defence of Human Rights also called and called upon the United Nations to expedite the investigation of the documented crimes committed by the Iranian regime towards the Ahwazi Arab people, especially the systematic arrest campaigns against cultural activists.
