Two Ahwazi Sunni arrested by the Iranian intelligence services
The reliable sources from the family of Mr. Saboori informed to the Ahwazi Organisation for the Defence of Human Rights that the Iranian intelligence services arrested both brothers Mr. Hussein Desbol Saboori 23 year-old and Mr. Hassan Desbol Saboori 21 year-old in Al-Kora (Shahrak Talegani) area in Mashor city (Mahshahr) in Al-Ahwaz on Sunday 20th July 2014 in the main street in the Town.
According to the sources, the Iranian intelligence services had also arrested both Saboori’s brothers in May 2014 in charge of Sunni and propaganda against the regime, but they were released on bail after few weeks keeping in detention. The Saboori’s family also informed that the Iranian intelligence services have arrested their sons days after the Shiite Husseineh was fairing by unknown people or organisation in the Town.
The Ahwazi Organisation for the Defence of Human Rights organisation strongly condemned the arrest of both brothers Mr. Hussein and Hassan Desbol Saboori without any charge and any permission from the court, and also condemned the Iranian ill-treatment against Ahwazi Arab people. The Ahwazi Organisation for the Defence of Human Rights Organisation has also asked the international human rights organisation to put Iran under pressure to free both brothers from the Iranian intelligence services.
Ahwaz is an Arab land that is located in the southwest and south of Iran. The name of Al Ahwaz has changed to Khuzestan, Bushier and Hurmozgan in 1936, after Iran occupied the country in 1925. Both Iranian regimes, the Pahlavi era and the Islamic republic era, used different ways to suppress Ahwazi voices.
Cultural and religious activists like Mr. Hussein and Hassan Desbol Saboori are under pressure by the authorities.
In the past few months, the Iranian authorities executed two members of Al-Shabab cultural organisation, and few months earlier executed two members of Al-Hewar cultural organisation in the secret detention after keeping them months in the Iranian intelligence services detention.
