Ahwaz hit with mass arrests after military parade attack

08 Oct 2018

The extra-judicial arrest of Ahwazi activists by the Iranian security forces constitute a serious and systematic crime of harassing, intimidating and spreading fear among Ahwazi people. Thus, discrimination and inequality can only fuel tension and frustration among the deprived people. The ruling power in Ahwaz is alien and extra-territorial, lacking support or any base among local resident of the region. They are strangers in terms of their ethnic ba

26 Sep 2018

Ladies and gentlemen, As I address you today, I would like to shed light on the violation perpetrated against the rights of Ahwazi women and children in Iran. Gender inequality in Iran in general, and in Ahwaz in particular, remains a serious problem, leaving women and girls in a poor standard of living and vulnerable to constant abuse and violation of their rights.
