After forcibly displacing him ..the Iranian regime arrests Ahwazi citizen Aref Shamoosi
The Iranian regime forces and their security services implemented a new campaign of raids on the city of Abu Shahr, Ahwaz.
Local sources said that the Iranian regime forces arrested the Ahwazi citizen Aref Jassem Al-Shamoosi after his house in the Ahwazi city of Abu Shahr was raided.
The Ahwazi Organization for the Defence of Human Rights stated that Mr. “Shamoosi”, 35, who has a child, was living in Malachia, and the repeated raids and harassment by the Iranian regime forces led him to migrate, accompanied by a number of his friends and families, to the city of Abu Shahr.
Despite forced migration outside the city, the youth and their families were not spared the regime’s threats and successive raids by the Iranian intelligence service, according to local sources.
For its part, the Ahwazi Organization for the defence of Human Rights condemns the Iranian regime’s insistence on continuing the approach based on the consolidation of the colonial occupation, stirring up religious strife, ethnic, religious, and cultural cleansing of the Ahwazi people.
The organization further affirms that the Iranian regime targets the coherent societal structure of the Ahwazi society and its dismantling, by forcibly displacing families and removing them from each other, and preventing the people from visiting each other through inhuman practices towards them.
The organization believes that the Iranian regime’s repudiation of the rights of the Ahwazi people is considered a further deletion of the human rights agreements signed by the Iranian regime, which requires the international community to take effective action to stop the Iranian arrogance.
It also calls on the international community to take urgent action to stop the violations, protect the civilians, ensure the respect for the rules of international humanitarian law and international human rights law, and meet the demands of prisoners.
The organization further demands The United Nations to issue a strongly worded statement against the violations of the Iranian regime against the people of the Ahwaz and the prisoners and forcing it to respect the laws and covenants relating to human rights, freedom of religion and the right to freedom of expression.
